Red/Blue Moiré "Ki/Og" 2022

Two red and blue line grids are drawn on top of each other. The diverging lines in each grid produce a distorted moiré pattern. The random settings fed into the algorithm produces an infinity of variations (position of the "center", number of curves seen, differences between both sides of the drawing). Each work is unique and made to order.

The drawing itself measures 162×112 mm and the paper 201×151 mm.

Red ink, blue ink, 220gsm Awagami Hakuho Select mulberry/cotton heavyweight paper.

Two slightly diverging red and blue line systems produce moiré fringes on the entire surface of the artwork. Drawn using gel ink pens on hand-made japanese Awagami paper (mulberry/cotton).

This piece works well unframed too. And if you change your mind, you can always frame it yourself.

If you live outside of western Europe, shipping costs for the framed version will be at least 20 euros so it's more interesting to frame it yourself. I don't make money on the frames :)
