Dark blue & Dark red Weave "Ta/Po" 2023

Groups of vertical and horizontal threads - each one composed of individual line segments) are arranged on a grid and "woven" together by a custom algorithm. The absolute simplicity of this grid of parallel lines is completely changed by the addition of a tiny bit of randomness in the progression of each line. The result is a rich textures that looks like fabric.

Each work is unique and made to order.

The drawing itself measures 183×132 mm and the paper 241×181 mm.

Dark blue ink, dark red ink, 240gsm St. Cuthbert's Somerset cotton paper.

Horizontal and vertical lines segments are generated and intertwined by an algorithm. Drawn on velvet paper using rollerball pens.

Unframed (fits a standard 24×18cm frame)

This piece works well unframed too. And if you change your mind, you can always frame it yourself.

If you live outside of western Europe, shipping costs for the framed version will be at least 20 euros so it's more interesting to frame it yourself. I don't make money on the frames :)
